Achappam Cooking Recipe

Achappam often considered as Kerala Style Rosette Cookies. This is a popular food in Indian snack; very easy to make and mainly favourites in Christian culture in Indian sub-continent.

Achappam Making Ingredients
Plain rice 4 cups
Whole Milk 250 ml
Medium Sized 3 Eggs
Powdered Sugar / Castor Sugar 2 Cups
Cardamom Powder 1 Teaspoon
Coconut oil as required

Achappam Cooking Method
1. Wash 4 cups rice and soak in the water for 2-3 hours.
2. Grind the rice thoroughly with milk and make a thick batter state.
3. Beat 3 eggs well in a bowl.
4. Add sugar and cardamom powder to the beaten eggs.
5. Mix the content very well.
6. Take a pan and add some coconut oil, then wait a minute.
7. Now add the Achappam mix to the pan and wait another minute or so.
8. Now, add beaten egg mix in the pan and fry along with Achappam batter
9. At this point, tap the mould so that appam separates and repeat the process until all done.
